The Piscitelli Romano Matte 25cm is a traditional Italian knife, the pointed blade and the ratcheting-tooth opening prevent the knife from closing by accident. The handle features a matte finish and is entirely hand-engraved to obtain a surface that cannot slip from your hands. It is produced from a single horn tip with several days of work for each piece.
The opening system features 3 ratcheting teeth with two screws supporting the spring all along the handle. The ring located above the three teeth allows the blade to be unlocked and closed back.
The package includes a parchment certifying the quality of the knife.
The knife is hand-sharpened and provided with a custom engraving FOR FREE.

The Romano model was born in the Italian capital. Unlike many other Italian knives that were conceived for agricultural uses, this knife was created for self-defense and offense, in fact, the ratcheting teeth that lock the blade allow for a safe grip and prevent the blade from closing by accident on your hands. It was born around 1600 and was used by both bandits and Roman aristocrats.
The horn version is extremely refined and carries all the work of skilled craftsmen who have been passing down crafting skills for generations.
