The Piscitelli Romano 20cm is a traditional Italian knife, the pointed blade and its ratcheting-tooth lock prevent the knife from accidentally closing on your hand.
The handle is entirely hand-carved to create a surface that cannot slip from your hands, it is obtained from a single horn tip with several days of work required for every piece.
The opening system features 3 ratcheting teeth with two screws supporting the spring all along the handle. The ring located above the three teeth allows the blade to be unlocked and closed back.
The package includes a parchment certifying the quality of the knife.
The knife is hand-sharpened and provided with a custom engraving FOR FREE.

The Romano model was born in the Italian capital. Unlike many other Italian knives that originated for agricultural use, this knife was created for self-defense and offense, in fact, the ratcheting teeth that lock the blade allow for a safe grip and prevent the risk of it closing suddenly on your hands. It was born around 1600 and was used by both bandits and Roman aristocrats.
The horn version is extremely refined and carries all the work of skilled craftsmen who have been passing down crafting skills for generations.
Piscitelli is an Italian artisan in Frosolone (IS) who produces knives of the highest quality, elegant in both the blades and the fine inlays of the handles.
